The Capital Hearings’ Songwriter Showcase concert features a collaboration with Silver Spring-based singer-songwriter and pianist Chris Urquiaga. The performance will feature pop, classical, and jazz a cappella as well as a variety of original music, including a co-premiere of a new original song by Chris.

Join The Capital Hearings on Sunday, June 3rd for their second annual Songwriter Showcase: Con Voz!

In this year’s Songwriter Showcase, The Capital Hearings will partner with Silver Spring-based singer-songwriter and pianist Chris Urquiaga. The performance will feature co-premieres of original music as well as a variety of pop, classical, and jazz works in The Capital Hearings’ signature a cappella style.

Urquiaga brings deep local roots and a unique set of skills to crafting music, including a blend of instrumental and vocal experience, composition training from the Eastman School of Music, and songwriting in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. He released an album, Complete. He was a 2016-2017 Artist in Residence at Strathmore.
